You are defining a woman's supposed power based on her ability to get her preferred man, and that's exactly why this sort of thing is side eyed.
Financial independence is power - not being beholden to someone else for your ability to live indoors, even if you could "pick another one up tomorrow" should your current partner decide to kick you out.
Respect is power. Being seen as a whole person, someone capable of accomplishing things beyond "being desirable." Maybe she's with him so that he can use his money and influence to help her achieve her dreams of independent accomplishment, but I'm not holding my breath.
The ability to convince someone else to feed and house you in exchange for fulfilling their wants is not power.
